What are training schools?
Training Schools (TS) aim to facilitate capacity building on a topic relevant to the theme of the respective COST Action through the delivery of intensive training on a new or emerging subject. They can also offer familiarisation with unique equipment or expertise.
Depending on the topic and the aims the TS will be organised in a form of workshop, course or seminar, where experts in their research field will provide lectures and roundtable discussions, as well as practical training.
The duration of a Training School is normally between three days and two weeks.
Who can participate?
Participants are mainly, but not exclusively, young researchers – ECI and PhD students – involved in the Action. Both trainee and trainer must register a profile on e-COST.
Financial support to be provided
COST support covers organisation of the school and participation support to both trainers (including external experts) and trainees.
All details regarding the eligible expenses will be defined soon.
How to apply?
